I was born into the film industry — both my parents worked in the business, so movie sets were my playground. Special Effects is the only thing I've ever wanted to do. Getting to build and create alongside my family on sets around the world is something I never take for granted. The ultimate goal? An Academy Award.
After 30+ years in the Special Effects department, I know what it takes to get the job done right. There's no shortcut to experience, and after three decades you've pretty much seen every curveball a set can throw at you. Safety always comes first, but so does delivering exactly what the director needs, on time and on budget.
What keeps me in this industry is the people — the crews, the creatives, the problem solvers. Every production is different and every set pushes you to be better. I get to work with some of the most talented people in film and television, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

When production needs something that doesn't exist, we build it. DEC's fabrication shop designs, engineers, and constructs custom rigs, breakaway sets, and specialty equipment — all tested and proven at our facility before they ever reach set.
We love working internationally. DEC is registered as a "Known Consignor" with the Canadian Air Cargo Security Service. We can efficiently organize, pack, ship, prep, produce and procure any practical Special Effect at any filming location in the world.
With over 65 years of combined Special Effects experience, the Dynamic Effects Team is committed and capable. We consider creating Special Effects for the film industry as our life's work.
